Bihar Bandh
Bihar Bandh: During a Congress program in Darbhanga last week, abusive language was used against the late mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In protest against this, a five-hour bandh has been called in Bihar on Thursday i.e. today. This bandh is being done by NDA. Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal had said that NDA leaders condemned the objectionable remarks made against Prime Minister Modi and his mother. It will be organized from 7 am to 12 noon.
Jaiswal also said that this abusive language is an insult not only to PM Modi's mother but to all mothers. Apart from this, the women's wing of the NDA decided to organize a Bihar bandh on September 4 to protest against this abusive language against both the Prime Minister and his mother. However, some services will remain open during the bandh, let's know about them…
During the Bihar Bandh, essential services will not be disturbed. Hospitals, clinics, and medical shops will function normally. Groceries and daily-use items will also be available to the public. Petrol pumps will remain open as usual, and railway services will continue to run without disruption. Even though the bandh is being observed, the administration has assured that emergency services will not stop. Police teams will also be on duty near hospitals and railway stations. Authorities have requested people not to panic as essential needs will be met.
Schools, colleges, and coaching centers will remain shut for the day. Intercity bus services will be suspended, while government offices and private businesses will stay closed. Road traffic is also expected to be affected as bandh supporters may block major routes. Markets in several towns are expected to remain deserted due to the bandh call. Traders’ associations have also decided to keep their shops closed in support. Commuters may face trouble as public transport will be limited, forcing many to stay indoors.
The bandh has been called after a man named Rafiq allegedly used abusive words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother. He was arrested last week following a BJP complaint. PM Modi condemned the act, saying such insults will never be forgiven, and accused Congress and RJD of being responsible for hurting public sentiments. NDA leaders said this bandh is not just a protest but also a message to the opposition. They claim the dignity of mothers and sisters cannot be compromised. Political temperature in Bihar has risen sharply, and rallies may further intensify the tension.
